Bundaberg Regional Council (BRC) currently undertakes annual Receiving Environment Monitoring Programs (REMPs) of the Bargara, Childers, Gin Gin and Thabeban Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) environmental releases to monitor the effects of the releases of contaminants on the “receiving environment” at release points to determine whether harm to the environment has occurred.

BRC wishes to engage an experienced Environmental Consultant to undertake REMP for the Bargara, Childers, Gin Gin and Thabeban WWTPs. The extent of each REMP is defined in the tender documentation. The REMP reports shall include results from previous years monitoring to determine any change.

It should be noted that the REMP for all other BRC – WWTP’s are undertaken through established DEHP programs where BRC is a contributing member.
