Logan City Council, with a current population of approximately 250000 residents, held its inaugural household hazardous waste collection and disposal service in February 2000. Funding has again been made available to continue this service for Logan residents.
It is proposed that collection days are conducted as follows:
First Saturday in November:
- Browns Plains Landfill - 349 Browns Plains Road, Heritage Park
First Saturday in February:
- Carbrook Transfer Station - 1801 Mount Cotton Road, Carbrook
- Logan Village Transfer Station - CNR of Waterford/ Tamborine Road & Pioneer Drive, Logan Village
First Saturday in May:
- Greenbank Transfer Station - CNR of Pub Lane & Equestrian Drive, Greenbank
- Beenleigh Transfer Station - CNR of Beenleigh/ Beaudesert & Wuraga Roads, Beenleigh
Residents will be invited, through various promotions, to drop off household hazardous wastes at these locations between 8:00am and 4:00pm on those days.
The final date for accepting questions regarding this tender via, any medium including but not limited to LG Tenderbox Forum, is 5pm Thursday, 25 June 2015. Any questions after this date will not receive a response.
It is intended that a certified commercial waste disposer be engaged to assist with the provision of this service.
